Plain language summary: By using QIQ services you agree to these terms. If you commission work on behalf of someone else, you confirm you have their authority to do so. Our services involve research from publicly available sources including AI platforms and the wider web. We deliver considered work within defined scope — results depend on what signals exist in the public domain. South African law governs these terms.
01

Acceptance of terms

By accessing qiq.co.za or purchasing any QIQ service, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms of Use and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, you should not use this website or purchase our services.

These terms apply to all visitors, users, and clients. QIQ reserves the right to refuse service to anyone at any time.

02

Description of services

QIQ provides AI visibility and identity services including:

  • AI Visibility Check — a free self-guided orientation tool
  • AI Visibility Report — a done-for-you service producing a documented portrait of how AI systems represent a named individual or brand, drawn from one layer of AI signal (training-era impression)
  • Signal Atlas — a done-for-you service exploring three layers of AI signal (training-era impression, live web discovery, and social discourse), including where those layers agree and diverge
  • Signal Atlas Pro — Signal Atlas with an added execution and alignment strategy, a 90-day roadmap, and a 60-minute debrief call
  • Latent Stewardship — an ongoing monthly service for past Signal Atlas or Signal Atlas Pro clients, currently in early access and offered by waitlist

Service descriptions on this website are for information only. QIQ reserves the right to modify service scope where necessary, provided the core deliverable remains substantially as described at the time of purchase.

03

Commissioning authority

This clause applies to all paid services involving analysis of a named individual or brand (the "subject").

By purchasing a service, the commissioning party warrants that:

  • They are the subject themselves, or
  • They have the express knowledge and consent of the subject to commission this work on their behalf, or
  • They have a legitimate professional authority to commission such work — for example, as a communications professional, publicist, or brand strategist acting for the subject in a professional capacity

QIQ does not conduct surveillance, competitive intelligence on private individuals, or any service intended to harm the subject. Any service commissioned for a purpose inconsistent with this clause will be refused or cancelled, with a full refund issued.

If QIQ discovers during delivery that a service has been commissioned without proper authority, QIQ reserves the right to halt delivery and refund the purchase in full.

04

Payment and pricing

Prices for the AI Visibility Report, Signal Atlas, and Signal Atlas Pro are fixed, one-time prices displayed in USD and processed via Paddle. ZAR pricing is available on request — contact hello@qiq.co.za before purchasing if you would like to arrange payment in ZAR.

QIQ does not store payment card details. All payment processing is handled securely by the relevant third-party processor.

Where ZAR payment is arranged directly, the ZAR price is set independently and is not a direct currency conversion of the USD price. Both are valid prices for the same service in their respective currencies.

Prices are subject to change. The price at the time of purchase is the price you pay. Changes to pricing do not affect existing orders.

05

Delivery and scope

Delivery timelines stated on this website are targets, not guarantees. QIQ will make every reasonable effort to meet stated timelines. Where delays occur, clients will be notified promptly.

The AI Visibility Report, Signal Atlas, and Signal Atlas Pro each require completion of a short intake conversation before work commences. The delivery timeline begins from completion of that intake, not from the date of payment. Intake is also where scope is confirmed — whether the work concerns an individual, a brand, or both.

The 60-minute debrief call included in Signal Atlas Pro is scheduled after delivery of the written findings. It is the client's responsibility to schedule the call within 60 days of delivery. Calls not scheduled within this period are forfeited without refund of any portion of the service fee.

Latent Stewardship is currently offered by waitlist only. Once generally available, its delivery terms will be set out in a service-specific agreement provided before enrolment.

06

Scope of web research

Certain QIQ services involve research conducted across publicly available sources. This section defines the scope and limitations of that research.

AI platform queries — the AI Visibility Report, Signal Atlas, and Signal Atlas Pro involve submitting identity-related queries to AI platforms including ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Perplexity, Copilot, and Grok. The results reflect what those platforms return at the time of querying. AI responses are non-deterministic and may vary between sessions. QIQ captures responses faithfully but cannot guarantee consistency across future queries.

Live and social discovery (Signal Atlas and Signal Atlas Pro only) — exploring what AI surfaces from the open web and from social discourse involves a structured look at publicly available web content including but not limited to: search engine results, social media platforms, review sites, news publications, forums, professional networks such as LinkedIn, and AI-native search platforms such as Perplexity and Grok. This covers content that is publicly accessible at the time of delivery. It does not involve access to private, paywalled, or restricted content.

QIQ does not guarantee that all harmful or distorting signals will be identified. This work is bounded by what is publicly discoverable through standard research methods within the agreed service timeframe. It is not an exhaustive legal or forensic investigation.

All web research is conducted on publicly available information. QIQ does not engage in any form of hacking, scraping in violation of platform terms, or access of private accounts or data.

07

Intellectual property

All content on qiq.co.za — including text, design, frameworks, methodologies, and terminology — is the intellectual property of QIQ unless otherwise stated. This includes the Living Semantic Alignment framework, Phynom Flow methodology, the Signal Atlas three-layer framework, and associated terminology.

Upon purchase and full payment, clients receive a non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the deliverables produced for them for their own personal or professional purposes. This licence does not include the right to resell, sublicense, or reproduce the deliverables for commercial purposes without prior written consent.

08

Accuracy and limitations

QIQ services analyse publicly available information and AI-generated content. Several inherent limitations apply:

  • AI platform responses are probabilistic and may change between sessions. Findings reflect what was observed at the time of querying.
  • Web research reflects publicly available content at the time of delivery. Content may be removed, modified, or added after delivery.
  • QIQ provides analysis and recommendations based on professional judgement. Outcomes from implementing recommendations depend on many factors outside QIQ's control, including client action, platform algorithm changes, and third-party content behaviour.
  • Live and social discovery work (Signal Atlas and Signal Atlas Pro) identifies signals discoverable through standard research methods. It is not a guarantee that all relevant content has been found.

QIQ makes no warranty, express or implied, that implementing the recommendations in any deliverable will produce specific outcomes in AI platform representations.

09

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, QIQ's total liability to any client in connection with any service shall not exceed the amount paid by that client for the relevant service.

QIQ is not liable for any indirect, consequential, incidental, or special damages arising from the use of our services or the implementation of our recommendations, including but not limited to loss of business, loss of revenue, or reputational harm.

QIQ is not responsible for the content, accuracy, or actions of third-party platforms referenced in our deliverables, including AI platforms, review sites, social media platforms, or news publications.

10

Refunds and cancellations

11

Acceptable use

You agree not to use QIQ services or this website to:

  • Commission research on individuals without proper authority as described in section 3
  • Conduct competitive intelligence on private individuals for purposes of harm
  • Engage in any unlawful activity or activity that violates the rights of third parties
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, reproduce, or commercialise QIQ's frameworks or methodologies without written consent
  • Misrepresent your identity or affiliation when commissioning services

QIQ reserves the right to refuse or cancel any service that appears to violate these conditions, with a full refund issued where work has not commenced.

12

Termination

QIQ may suspend or terminate access to this website or refuse service delivery at any time where there is reasonable cause to believe these terms have been violated or where continued service would be inappropriate.

Where termination occurs before delivery of a paid service, QIQ will issue a refund proportional to the work not yet completed.

13

Governing law

These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any disputes arising under these terms shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the South African courts.

For clients in the European Union, nothing in these terms limits any statutory rights you may have under applicable EU consumer protection law.

14

Changes to these terms

QIQ may update these Terms of Use from time to time. Material changes will be reflected in the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of this website or services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

Terms in effect at the time of a purchase govern that purchase. Updated terms do not apply retroactively to existing orders.
